Analyzing text in search of bio-molecular events

The BioNLP Shared Task on Event Extraction focuses on extracting a range of biomolecular events from text, including Gene expression, Phosphorylation, Regulation, Binding and others. Providing both training and dev data, participating teams had to submit the predictions of their NLP systems and were ranked according to F-score.

Our SVM-based implementation ranked 5th out of 24 participating NLP teams world-wide.
